The PharmaTrace network is a good platform to support cool-chain tracking as well as approval processes. That’s why Junis Al Attar has built a prototype sensor unit “J Tracking Sensor”, to collect data on temperature (see screenshot below), light, pressure and movement during a transport of sensitive pharmaceuticals and automatically transmit it to a PharmaTrace node as soon as the container passes the gate of the destination warehouse. This data transmission triggers an approval process on the PT node to authorize further processing of the goods based on the temperature curve and to build up a secure audit trail. The project was fun for everyone involved and a good showcase for the power of the PharmaTrace ecosystem.
